Product Description

Feeding developmental delays refer to conditions that affect a child’s ability to eat or drink in an age-appropriate and safe way. These delays include avoidant food intake disorders, restrictive food intake disorders, and chewing or swallowing disorders. Often, feeding disorders are the result of a combination of factors. Children with existing developmental or medical issues have the highest risk for developing a feeding problem. These children include infants or toddlers born prematurely, children with neurological diseases, or children with co-existing developmental delays. A customized therapy-based program will be beneficial to assist the parent/caregiver to increase poor oral motor skills, low or high muscle tone, sensory processing, and response concerns, environmental (delayed introduction to textured food) and anxiety. When followed at the recommended frequency, the individual will benefit, with an optimal achievement level of 100%.
