Learning speech and language does not have to be done in a structured environment. Toys are fun and great for involving children. Play enables children to practice the language skills they have learnt and build on expanding vocabulary. Interacting with adults and peers also enables children to refine their speech sounds through listening to others. Building social development is fundamental in acquiring and encouraging language development. A customized therapy-based program, in learning speech and language through play, will benefit children diagnosed with Autism and/or Sensory Processing concerns to create fun activities and provide many situations for learning and developing speech, language, and cognitive skills.
