This Tefen adapter compression tube fitting, in blue, is made of fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene, has a metric tube connection and a metric male BSPT connection, and is suitable for use in hydraulic applications. This fitting is made of fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene for strength, resistance to chemicals and fertilizers, and insulation against heat and electricity. It connects two metric tubes of different end types. The tube connection is pushed into the connector and secured with a nut by tightening and the male British Standard Pipe Taper (BSPT) end connects to a female threaded tube, creating a tighter seal than straight threads. It has a maximum operating pressure rating of 14 bar, or 200 pounds per square inch (psi), at 20 degrees C and an operating temperature range of 39.2 to 194 degrees F (4 to 90 degrees C).
